Gout-safe Foods

Foods to eat if you got gout:

  • Fresh cherries, strawberries, blueberries, and other red-blue berries
  • Bananas
  • Celery
  • Tomatoes
  • Kale, cabbage, parsley (green-leafy vegetables)
  • Pineapple (foods high in bromelain)
  • Red cabbage, red bell peppers, tangerines, mandarins, oranges, potatoes (foods high in vitamin C)
  • Fruit juices and purified water (8 glasses of water per day)
  • Breads, cereals, pasta, rice (complex carbohydrates)
  • Chocolate, cocoa
  • Coffee, tea
  • Carbonated beverages
  • Tuna, salmon, flaxseed, nuts, seeds (essential fatty acids)
  • Tofu, legumes
